Reading
1. Journal - What was the best part about your weekend? What did you do?

      2. Write your answer using neat handwriting, uppercase letters and punctuation marks.
      3. Read your entry to an adult or older sibling and fix any mistakes.
      4. Illustrate your entry with a colorful picture.

3. Talk about how Jesus is the Light of the World. Why does he have that name? Why is light important? When it is dark, light guides us. Jesus guides us to make good choices.4. Complete activity on page 209.

      - As 'children of the light' we make the world a better, brighter place when we share God's love by living as Jesus taught us.
      - We are an example of the light of Christ for all to see through our kind words and actions.

       - Watch What Should Danny Do?. In this version, Danny makes a series of bad choices. How do those bad choices affect Danny's day? How do they affect the people around him?
5. Now watch this version with Danny making good choices. How did making good choices affect Danny's day? How did Danny's good choices affect the rest of his family?

4. Read your story out loud to a family member, stuffed animal, pet or anyone or anything! Practice using expression!
5. Watch this VIDEO to:
     - Read "If You Give A Mouse a Cookie" with Miss Tosti and learn about cause and effect
     - Complete "Cause and Effect" worksheet
6. Complete preposition worksheet. Mark the preposition that shows where the bear is.
7. Pick 3 prepositions and act them out  using a chair on Flip Grid HERE
     - examples:  I am ON the chair. I am UNDER the chair.

Math
1. Zoom meeting for a Directed Draw to make a "Measurement Garden".

3. Complete Addition/Subtraction and word problems worksheets
**This can be broken up throughout the week or be completed on Friday. At this point in the year we would be practicing these daily to prepare for timed math next year.**

Optional Reading:
Read "If You Give a Pig A Pancake" with Mr. Tosti HERE to:
-  complete "If You Give A Pig A Pancake: Cause and Effect"
- complete "If You Give A Pig A Pancake" Sequence activity

Optional Math:
Use your ruler to draw a picture using straight lines only (diagonal or slanted are okay)! After your picture is complete, measure each line to the nearest inch and label each one! Add color and details to your picture.
