Week of 1/29

We started off CSW with a beautiful Prayer Service for Peace

Dear Parents,

Happy Catholic Schools Week! We have a fun week planned with lots of activities! You can find all the information you need below. Valentine's Day information is also posted below!

- There will be no spelling and reading tests. We will test on this story and new spelling words next week.

- Dismissal is at 12:00 pm on Friday! Please be sure to check your child's bus to make sure they are bussing home from school this day. 

- Some special Catholic Schools Week notes:

                  *Send in canned goods all week!

                  Monday (1/29) - dress down (no charge)

                  Tuesday (1/30) - Crazy 8's Day - accessorize your school uniform with 8 items (shoes, jewelry, socks, hats, sunglasses etc)!

                  Wednesday (1/31) - Dress up day! The opposite of dress down! 

                  Thursday (2/1) - Beach theme day! Dress in your best beach gear! Please so bathing suits.

                  Friday (2/2) - Blue and White Spirit Day! Dismissal at 12:00 pm. 


Valentine's Day info:

     - please have all valentines sent to school no later than Tuesday, February 13th.  Candy or small gifts are both okay! We will be having out party of Thursday, February 15th due to Ash Wednesday falling on Valentine's Day.

Week of 1/22


Dear Parents,

Hopefully we will have a calmer week weather wise! This is our last full week before Catholic Schools Week starts on Sunday. Look below for an outline of what to expect in case you want to plan ahead! An email with more details will be sent out later this week.

Here are the reminders for the week:

- If you have not been a Mystery Reader yet, please be sure to sign up this week! There are a few spots still open.

- Test folders will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return on Wednesday.

- We will have a math test on 10 more/less and 1 more/less on Thursday. A review will be sent home for homework on Wednesday.

- We will have a spelling and reading test on Friday. They are the same spelling and sight words from last week.

Catholic Schools Week begins at Mass on Sunday! Be on the look out for an email with more detailed information.

  Some special notes:

                  * Send in canned goods for the Souper Bowl of Caring all week!

                  * Cookie bake off all week

                  Sunday (1/28) Opening Mass at 9:30

                  Monday (1/29) - Color Day - dress down (no charge) in assigned color. I will let you know when are assigned one!

                  Tuesday (1/30) - Crazy 8's Day - accessorize your school uniform with 8 items (shoes, jewelry, socks, hats, sunglasses etc)! K-4 Spelling Bee

                  Wednesday (1/31) - Dress Up Day (more info to be sent)

                  Thursday (2/1) - Beach Day- dress down in beach attire (no bathing suits)

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a nice extra long weekend! Today we talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and why he is an important part of history and a great role model! Thank you for all of your donations for Monday!

Week of 1/8

Congrats to Trinity for winning the Keep Christ in Christmas competition and to G for being the runner up! 

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a nice weekend! There are a few things going on this week so please be sure to read through! Here are your reminders:

- We did a supply check today. Lots of kids are in need of new sharpened pencils, glues sticks, crayons etc. If you could check with your child this week and grab some new supplies in the next week or two that would be great!

- The first grade is collecting small travel shampoo bottles for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, 1/15. If you would like to donate some please send it in by Friday!

- With the cold weather, please be sure to mark all outerwear with your child's name!

- Wednesday is a Dress Down Day for the MLK Day of Service. Please send in $1.00 to dress down. Thank you!

- Thursday is picture retake day.

- We will have a reading and spelling test on Friday this week.

- We will take the Chapter 8 religion test together on Friday.

- There is no school on Monday, January 15th for MLK Day.

Week of 1/1



Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and break! Thank you so much for your more than generous class Christmas gift. I was blown away by your generosity!

This week we will be working at getting back into our normal routine in reading, math and homework! We will start Unit 4 Week 1 in reading this week but continue to work on it next week and test next Friday

Here are your reminders for this week:

- No tests this week.

- Looking ahead: Picture retakes will be next Thursday, January 11th.
                            No school Monday, January 15th for MLK Day.
