Week of 10/2

We listened to some great stories from Mrs. Mallach last week!

Dear Parents,

Happy October! We had a great field trip to Highland Orchards last week! Be sure to take a look at the video with some pictures of the fun! (Highland Orchards Trip) You can check out some pictures at the bottom of the blog of some activities we did in reading last week as well :).

October will certainly be a busy a month so please be sure to read all of the reminders in the coming weeks. Here are some for this week:

- There will be a math test on ordinal numbers, ordering numbers and comparing numbers on Thursday.

- There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday.

- The Cradle to Crayons pod will be here all week. If you would like to donate any gently used clothing, shoes, books, baby items or school supplies please send them to school in a bag or drop them off yourself! Thanks!

- Friday will be a Dress Down Day for our "adopted" school in Houston and also for Breast Cancer Awareness. We encourage the kids to wear pink if they have it! Thank you for your donations.

- The Book Fair and Grandparents/Special Friends Day will be on Wednesday, October 25th from 8:30-9:30am. Grandparents are welcome to come in, shop and make a small craft with their grandchild. If grandparents can't make it, a "special friend" like an aunt, uncle etc. will do! A flyer will be sent home this week. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

- Friday, October 27th will be the First Grade "Celebration of Saints".  Information regarding this will be sent home this week.

That is all for now! Have a great week :)
