Week of 1/3

Thanks to Emilia's grandmom, Mrs. Cassidy, for reading to us before break!
Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that your new year is off to a great start. I also want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity to me all of the teachers here at SKS. We are truly a lucky faculty.

This week will will get right back into the swing of things and work on getting back into our routine. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition back! Here area your reminders:

- We will start a new story and get new spelling and magic words this week. Please be sure you study them each night at home.

- The kids checked their school supplies today to see if they need any new ones. Please check with them and see what they need. Thanks!

- Test folders will be sent home tomorrow. Please sign and return them on Thursday.

- I need Mystery Readers for the following Thursdays: 1/12, 1/19, 1/26 from 2:00-2:30. Please email me if you are interested. It would be great if every student had someone come in at least once during the year. If Thursday from 2:00-2:30 does not work for you and you are free another day please let me know and we will work something out.

- We will have a Religion test on Chapter 8 on Friday.  A study guide will be sent home.

- There will be a Dress Down Day on Friday. Please send in $1.00 to dress down.
