Week of February 2nd

Dear Parent/s,

Happy February! We had a great time celebrating Catholic Schools Weeks last week. Be sure to check out some of the pictures below. I also would like to congratulate, Abby Sharkey, for being the runner-up in the Spelling Bee on Friday. She was fabulous!

We have lots to get done this week so here are some reminders:

- We will have a subtraction test on Thursday.

- We will have a Reading/Spelling test on Friday.

- On Wednesday, we will be going to the Book Fair and having Grandparents/Special Friends Day from 10:30-11:30. It will be held in the Parish Center. All are welcome to join us!

That is all for now!

Math
We will be working a lot with finding missing addends. (4 + ___ =  7, 7 - ___ = 3). The subtraction test has been moved to next week.
We will continue to do timed math, however the amount of time to complete the 60 problems will go down. Please make sure your child is studying their facts each night. There are a ton of apps and websites that they can used to practice!
Timed math worksheets can be found at the website below. All you need to do is select all of the numbers next to "Adding," click "Create Worksheet" at the bottom of the page and print! http://www.worksheetworks.com/math/basic-operations/addition-up-to-15.html
