Monday, 5/11

Reading

1. Journal - Click HERE and pick a story starter like we have done in class!
      1. Write the date at the top of the page: May 11, 2020
      2. Write your answer using neat handwriting, uppercase letters and punctuation marks.
      3. Read your entry to an adult or older sibling and fix any mistakes.
      4. Illustrate your entry with a colorful picture.

Chapter 22 - Jesus Gives Us The Eucharist"

      - Jesus shared a special meal with the Apostles it is called the Last Supper.

      - This dinner happened during Holy Week on the night before Jesus died.

      - He changed the bread into his body.

      - He changed the wine into his blood.

      - This is when Jesus gave us the sacrament of Holy Communion which is also called Eucharist.

Tuesday, 5/12

Reading

1. Review Magic Words and spelling words

2. Complete Spin and Write

3. Reading Zoom @10:30 -  dress up like a pirate to review the -ar (arrrrrghhh) sound that a pirate makes! 

       - Some pirate attire ideas are: bandana, hat, eye-patch, draw on a beard or make a hook out of tin foil!

       - write down 3 -ar word on an index card piece of paper! Be ready to read it like a pirate!

       - We will also have a Mystery Reader to read our story "The Garden" and complete "About the Text" together!

      - Jesus knew he was leaving Earth and wanted to give us a gift so we could remember him.

      - He gave us the sacrament of Holy Communion which is also called Eucharist.

      - Every time we celebrate Mass we celebrate Jesus and all that he has done for us.

      - The word Eucharist means "to give thanks".

Zoom - 10:30am Shape Bingo! Boards were attached to Sunday email and Wednesday email with links. Please print the number page you were assigned in the email and get coins or something to use at markers so we can play multiple games if we have time.  You can bring you matching worksheet from Wednesday to help!

Optional Math - Listen to Miss Tosti read "The Greedy Triangle" from Thursday or watch another version HERE! Then pretend you are the Shapeshifter and make your own shape out of construction paper or any paper! Write down the name of your shape, how many side and corners you have, and what your favorite thing to be is! Look at these examples and if you show your classmates your shape on FlipGrid HERE
