Week of 6/10

Dear Parents,

A few quick things on the last blog of the year!

- Spirit Day is Wednesday. The kids know which team they are on. Please send them to school with sunscreen on and a labeled water bottle. We are in need of volunteers so if you can please sign up on Sign Up Genius!

- No school Thursday!

- As my dad mentioned, he and I will only be in school for the beginning of Mass on Friday morning. Then we are off to Italy for my older brother's wedding! Therefore, I will be sending report cards home on Wednesday. Dismissal on Friday will be from the church. If you could please walk over to the front pews and get your child and give Mrs. Thornton or Miss Panaro a wave it would be greatly appreciated!

With that said:

I say this every year, but I really can't believe that the school year is ending. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you for all of your support this year. One of the most rewarding things about teaching first grade is actually seeing how much progress the kids make in just 9 short months. Every year I am just amazed by how much the kids have grown, not only academically but socially and emotionally too. This could not happen without you and all that you do for you children.

At the end of every year, I always like to go back and look at my pictures from the first day of school. I get a kick out of seeing how much the kids have changed. I thought I'd pass it along :) Although it will be amazing to sleep in (in Italy), I will miss seeing their smiling faces each day! I hope you all have a safe, fun and happy summer!

See you next Fall!

Miss Tosti
