Week of 4/30

Dear Parents,

I can't believe we start the month of May tomorrow! The rest of the year is going to fly by! Here are the reminders for this week:

- A book order form regarding summer reading will be sent home today. The entire school will be reading the same book this summer. If you would like to order the book through school, please send the form with cash or check by Tuesday, May 8th. Thanks!

- There will be a reading and spelling test on Friday this week.

 - Mark your calendar for these May dates:
                 May 10th - First grade Mass @ 9:00 am
                  **rescheduled from 5/15. We now have school on 5/10**
                 May 23rd - May Procession @ 7:00 pm
                 June 5th - Doughnuts with Dads/Dudes @ 8:30 am

- I need a Mystery Reader for May 31st. Please email me if one of those dates works for you.

Math

We will continue to work standard units of measure this week. We will be practicing using our rulers to measure inches and centimeters. We will also start practicing timed math to prepare for 2nd grade next year.
