Week of 1/3

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that your new year is off to a great start. I also want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity to me and all of the teachers here at SKS. We are truly blessed to have such supportive parents.

This week we will get right back into the swing of things and work on getting back into our routine. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition back! Here area your reminders:

- Starting Monday, we will welcome Ms. Julie Williams to our classroom as our student teacher! Julie is from Rosemont College and will be with us for the next 3 months. We are so excited to have her!

- We will finish up working on How Leopard Got His Spots this week and we will take the reading test together this Friday. The kids will be allowed to use their readers. Please make sure you review the Magic Words at home. There will not be a spelling test this week.

- The kids checked their school supplies today to see if they need any new ones. Please check with them and see what they need. Thanks!

- I need Mystery Readers for the following Thursdays: 1/11, 1/18, 1/265from 2:00-2:30. Please email me if you are interested. It would be great if every student had someone come in at least once during the year. If Thursday from 2:00-2:30 does not work for you and you are free another day please let me know and we will work something out.
