Week of 5/8

Dear Parents,

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Another busy week here as we approach the end of the school year. Here are your reminders:

- The May Procession will be on Wednesday night. Please have your child at school no later than 6:40pm. Girls will report to Miss Panaro's room and boys to Mrs. Thornton's room.  They should be dressed in their winter uniform. If you could send your child with set a rosaries too it would be greatly appreciated. After we process out of Church, you can pick up your child from me at the front of the school. A section will be blocked off for kindergarten and first grade. Thank you for your help with this!

- We will have a Religion test on Friday on Chapter 16. Students will also have to name the 7 sacraments. We've been talking about them a lot at school so please be sure to review at home as well.

A Peek at Our Week!

Religion

We will finish Chapter 16 this week and have a test. Students will also have to name all 7 sacraments.

Reading

Story: "Little Rabbit's Tale"

Target Skill: Cause and Effect

Phonics Skill: Short e (ea) and compound words

Grammar: prepositions

Magic Words: door, old, want, more, try, wash, mother, use, everyone, such, while, treats

Spelling Words: bedtime, backpack, sunset, playpen, bathtub, raincoat, sailboat, inside, flagpole, himself, everyone, mother

Math

We will continue on unit on measurement this week. We will be estimating lengths and start measuring with our rulers in inches.
