Week of October 13th

Dear Parent/s,

The Saint Projects were great and the kids are very excited for our celebration in two weeks! Don't forget to mark your calendar. We have quite a busy week so be sure to read the reminders.

Reminders:

- Picture day is this Thursday. Kids need to wear their winter uniforms to school and bring their gym uniforms and sneakers in a bag labeled with their name. Thanks!

- Our second reading test on "Lucia's Neighborhood" and our Chapter 3 Religion test will both be on Thursday this week.

- There will be a short grammar quiz on nouns, verbs, and adjectives on Friday. Be sure to review R copybooks.

- On Friday, we will be having "Share and Teach." Each child may bring in one thing (that can fit in their book bag). They will be sharing their item with the class and must be prepared to tell 3 facts about it!

- Children can wear their gym uniforms to school on Friday for the "Walk With The Principal."

A Peek at Our Week!

Religion

We will finish up learning about Jesus and the Holy Family in Chapter 3 and have our test on Thursday.

Reading

Target Skill: Characters and Graphic Features

Grammar Skill: we will review nouns, verbs and adjectives and have a quiz on Friday

Math

We will focus on doing addition on a number line and work with ten frames this week. We will also make our flash cards for our 3 math facts.
